Privacy policy

A short, plain-English account of how we handle the personal information you share when getting in touch about a bespoke commission. Last reviewed on 12 May 2026.

Who we are

This policy applies to Cleariqo Atelier Sdn Bhd (Reg. No. 1295647-T), a furniture workshop based at Lot 14, Jalan Industri Bandar Baru Sri Damansara 5, Bandar Sri Damansara, 52200 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Throughout this document, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ refer to Cleariqo Atelier Sdn Bhd.

What we collect

When you write to us through the contact form on this site we ask for, and store, the following: your full name, an email address, optionally a mobile or WhatsApp number, the type of commission you are interested in, the rough location of the project, your written description of the brief, and how you found us. We do not collect anything you do not type into the form.

Our web host produces standard server logs that include the IP address from which you reached us, the page you viewed, the date and time, and your browser’s user-agent string. These logs are retained for ninety days and used only to diagnose security and performance problems.

Why we collect it

We use the information you submit through the form for one purpose only: to reply to your enquiry and, if a commission proceeds, to communicate with you about your project. We do not maintain a marketing database, we do not send unsolicited messages, and we do not segment our enquirers for any kind of campaign.

If you ask to be placed on our occasional studio letter list, we keep your name and email address in a small file held on the studio computer, and we delete it the moment you ask us to.

Who has access

Within the workshop, only the studio manager and the founder have routine access to enquiry submissions. The makers may be shown a brief once a commission has been agreed. We do not give your details to any third party other than where required by Malaysian law, by a court order, or where the information is needed by a delivery courier so that they can complete a delivery.

How long we keep your information

Enquiries that do not result in a commission are deleted from our active mailbox after six months. Enquiries that do result in a commission are kept for the lifetime of the warranty on the piece — usually ten years for upholstery and indefinitely for joinery, so that we can identify the piece if you bring it back for repair.

Your rights under Malaysian law (PDPA 2010)

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if any of it is wrong, and to ask us to delete it. You can exercise any of these rights at any time by writing to [email protected] with the subject line ‘PDPA request’. We will respond within twenty-one days.

The cookies used on this site are described in our cookie policy.

Security

The contact form submits over an encrypted connection. The mailbox that receives enquiries is on a Malaysian-hosted email service protected by two-factor authentication. Our website is served from an INGNX shared-hosting account and is updated regularly.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the ‘last reviewed’ date at the top of the page. Substantive changes will be flagged in our occasional studio letter.
